Telephone Calls

Call during office hours and a member of our staff will take a message with the below listed information.  We will have a nurse return your call in the order in which it was received, in between seeing patients.  If you feel the problem is urgent, please state so and your call will be returned within a few minutes.

Nurses are trained to handle most common problems and can determine whether the child needs to be seen or whether the call needs to be referred to a doctor.

For non-urgent calls, the nurse will call you back by Noon for calls received by 11:30a.m. and by 4:30p.m.for all afternoon calls.

Have information available for the doctor or nurse:

  • Your child’s name, date of birth, temperature
  • What you are concerned about, how long it has been going on and has it been getting worse
  • What you have done about your child’s illness, current medications
  • Phone number of your pharmacy

REMEMBER TO KEEP YOUR LINE OPEN WHILE WAITING FOR THE RETURN CALL.
