*For Zachary Office Appointments please preschedule routine appointments at least one day prior but sick appointments can be made same day.

***Please note that even though the office opens at 7:00a.m., it does not mean a physician is yet on the premises.  If you have an emergency please call the office first and a staff member will direct you as to what you should do. ***

Even though the office is closed on New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, emergency care is always available.  A physician is always available 365 days a year.

APAM has scheduled office hours but we are available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

After Hour, Weekend and Holiday Care

After office hour calls are directed to our answering service.  The service will take down necessary information.  One of the pediatricians or a trained pediatric nurse will call you back.

If you feel that your child’s problem is an emergency, please say so and you will be called back immediately.

Have information available for the doctor or nurse:

  • Your child’s name, date of birth, temperature
  • What you are concerned about, how long it has been going on and has it been getting worse
  • What you have done about your child’s illness, current medications.
  • Phone number of your pharmacy

Unless it is a life threatening event, do not go to the Emergency Room without calling your doctor first.  Many problems at first glance are a little frightening, but many of these can be handled without an E.R. visit.

**Please note the after hours triage service is in place to handle sudden situations.  Please do not call after hours for routine needs such as prescriptions refill or appointments scheduling and/or cancellations.**
